Pokemon of the Week November 21

Mawgynic is ridiculous. It's a wonderful little steel type match for its prevo, Mawile. Mawile was deserving of an evolution and it got a good one. Its once abyssmal HP stat still leaves some to be desired at base 95 but it's not meant to be a wall. Base 135 defense and 115 attack plus base 87 speed make it a bit more tolerable, allowing it to play well enough in the middle of the OU/tandard tier. Its ability is wonderful, it's movepool was already amazing, Mawgenic is a solid pokemon. Mawgenic's "Voluptuous" ability prevents Male Pokemon from damaging it at all directly. Intimidate just makes it that much easier for it to suck up physical attacks. Recommended movepools are difficult because it's movepool is so massive.

Distract was a Normal type attack created specifically for Mawgynic and Maternimatch/Chamatern in the Shuinn Region. It ensures that any secondary effects of the next used move that applies to the opponent occur. If you set up Attract first then Swagger, you're bound to ruin your opponent from the start, making it nearly impossible for them to shake it and get a hit. With the four Fang Attacks, each coming with the chance to Burn, Freeze, Paralyze, or Poison the foe, you'll be annihilating the opponent easily.
