Emerald City - Gym: Ice. The gym leader here is actually quite the cold person. Lame puns aside, she'll only battle a trainer she sees as a challenge. It may be against her duties as a gym leader but she's not won a battle in some time due to her good judement. Regardless, don't think that means anything. She only loses because she knows to send trainers away for a bit to train before they challenge her. She's certainly not an easy victory. A contest hall happens to be the same building as the gym.

Armofrost: (uses Blizzard on the floor and freezes it, causing Both Bluradical and Magmaraptor to slip)

Jubilee: (walks by and sees the battle) Hm? Shay? (blinks)

Shay: (Sees Jubilee) oh Hi Jubilee! Lucario wait for the next move.

Andy: Bubblow Bide!

Shay: Eh?

Mawile: (runs up and glomps Shay) MAWILE! Maw!

Jubilee: n_n' Sorry about her. I accidentally dropped her pokeball in the river in the forest so that might happen for a while.

Lucario: (sets up a counter and just waits)

Bubblow: (Keeps charging its energy)

Isis: Reasy to throw in the towel?

Magmaraptor: mag...Mag...MAG! Maaaaaaaaag (suddenly becomes surrounded in a fiery aura)

Isis: Hm?

Brandon: Yes! That's Mag's Blaze Ability!

Armofrost: (steps back nervously)

Isis: Mph. EARTHQUAKE!

Magmaraptor: (jumps up high) MAG!

Brandon: Overheat!

Magmaraptor: (blasts a heavy overheat at Armofrost)

Shay: My Rival and buddy, Andrew Smith. (Yes i did decided to give Andy a last name xD)

Bubblow: (Unleashes the energy but gets hit with Counter) Bloooow.... @_@

Suddenly a Maternimatch runs up from nowhere and glomps Lucario

Maternimatch: (gigggles Maternimatch doesn't say its name or anything it just has a bunch of different sound effects XD)

Shayleen: Oh look Lucario.

Lucario: (Tries getting Maternimatch off it but fails.)

Familiar Voice: That's only proof that she's getting stronger. Come on Maternimatch.

Maternimatch: Hm! (gets off and walks over to Sonya)

Sonya: What's up? Long time, no see, Shay.

Ali: (bursts out of the gym) Shay! (runs over to everyone) Huh? Jubilee and Sonya? What are you two doing here? Anyway, Shay, Brandon just got his last badge!

Shay: Great! Good For him!

Andy: Bubblow Return!

Shay: You too Lucario.

Magmosaur: Saur!

Ali: So we can rest up here for the night then get on our way to Stadium City! The Final Destination is in Reach!

Brandon: (walks out of the gym) Well, hello there. How you guys doing? Hm? Oh, hey Jubilee aaannd?

Sonya: It's Sonya, you must be Brandon: You also must be quite the trainer.

Brandon: Better Believe it!

Ali: (mutters to Shay) You know, one thing you can say about Brandon is he sure has no problem with confidence

Koalaqua: (pops out of Shay's bag) Koal!

Sonya: Well I'd better go. I'm going to get in there after my final gym badge!

Jubilee: I'm going too but I'm going to go train while I wait! Come on Losba, no time to lose! (runs off with Losba and Mawile right behind her)

Brandon: Does she ever slow down?

Ali: I don't think she can hold still for longer than a minute either.

Nami: Let's get to the Pokemon Center. We should rest up if we're on our way to Stadium City!

Shay: Right. (Walks off ahead)

Koalaqua goes back in Shay's bag

At the pokemon center before everyone decides to turn in.

Nami: (knocks on Shay's door) Shay, you asleep yet?

Shay: (walks over to her door) Hmm? No I'm still awake. (opens it up)

Nami: (steps in) I'm soo nervous! Aren't you? I mean look at us. It's like just yesterday we were all just beginners. It's come to this so quickly!

Shay: Whoa girly, Yeah I'm nervous, but apparently not as nervous as you.

Magmosaur: Saur? (Yawns and gets off the bed) Mag?

Nami: Look at us. Zak, Ian, and me are going to the Grand Festival, You're going to the Breeder Show Finals, Brandons going to the Pokemon League. What isn't there to be nervous about? I've been practicing my appeal for the Festival too...Shay...do you...do you think I'll even get past the appeals?

Shay: (Thinks) C'mon. (Grabs her wri) magmosaur let's go.

Magmosaur: (follows them outside)

Nami: What'd you bring me out here for?

Shay: You totally need a confidence boost. so I want you to show me SOME not ALL but some of your appeal.

Magmosaur: Saur.

Shay: Don't worry. (winks)

Nami: A-alright. (throws two pokeballs)
